Live Sketching- Bankos

Tonight I enjoyed good company, good food (amazing crab cakes!), good drinks and good sketching at a local bar. Although I promised myself I'd sketch full scenes I just couldn't resist jotting down only the faces once I started. My favorite from the night was the guy with stash!

Almost forgot to share some of the better sketches that came from a few of the bar and casino excursions I was recently on. Side profiles continue to interest me. Very tempted to run out to the casino and sketch a bit this morning. Contemplating.

More Live Sketching: Tommyboys Bar & Grill, PA

Last night I found myself heading to the local bar & grill with my brother to take advantage of wing night. Nothing quite like good company, hot wings, cold beer and many cool people to draw. These are the best from the night.

Live Sketching: Hickory Run State Park

The studio went outdoors today. It's been very hot and humid and I decided to head on out to a local lake to swim and cool off. I was going just to relax and wasn't expecting to work at all, but once I got to the lake it was hard to resist drawing. There were so many different body types and people were throwing themselves into the most interesting poses that I found it hard to resist the urge to draw. Thankfully, my sketchbook is always with me.
