Rocks

Ordinary garden mulch can be used
as rocks in photo and live show set ups.

Since the big photo shoot I had a few emails come through asking about the rocks in the backgrounds. While I was prepping for the shoot I did take shots of the mulch turning into rocks thinking it might make an interesting blog post. So, for those who have asked about the rocks, this is how I created them. Its actually very simple and fun.

Pieces can be easily hot glued
together to create larger rock formations.

Mulch takes paint easily. Paint a base color
on first then highlight with dry brushing techniques.

Dry brush a lighter color onto the base
to create the look of rocks.
